DISTRIBUTION OF HOUSES TO FLOOD VICTIMS AT DISTRICT LAYYAH
During my last visit of District Layyah in December, 2010, it was committed with the people of flood affected area that Jannat-ul-Firdous will provide houses to the shelterless people. The survey was carried out by the Project Manager and the detail of most deserving people was prepared. Initially the construction work of 5 houses was started during the month of January, 2011. The Project Manager informed me on 10th of February, 2011 that houses are ready to handover to the affected people. So I decided to proceed Layyah. We JUF asked the Project Manager to arrange food items for 150 people which will be distributed on our arrival at village Esri, District Layyah and in this regard a reasonable funds were sent to him.
On 16th February, 2011 I left for Layyah alongwith Ms. Salma Yasmin and Mr. Imtiaz Hussain Chohan at 3:00 am. We reached Layyah at 12:30 pm. The huge crowd of people was waiting for us.
We had a lunch and thereafter a ceremony took place regarding handing over keys of houses to the deserving families.

After handing over the keys of houses at about 3:00 pm we started distribution of food bags containing the following food items:-
- Rice
- Flour
- Oil
- Beans
- Spices

We JUF team witnessed the families living in a miserable condition in tents in these coldest days. We JUF have decided to provide houses to these families in addition to the present accommodation handed over to the people.
CONSTRUCTIONOF ADDITIONAL SEVEN HOUSES AT DISTRICT LAYYAH
The JUF committee at the time of last visit of Layyah regarding construction of additional seven houses for the most deserving families. The Chief Executive has now released Rs.2,45,000/= in the light of estimate sent by Mr.Qammar Hussain, Project Manager. The estimated cost of one house is about Rs. 35,000/= (Thirty five thousand). These houses will be constructed at village Esri District Layyah. After the completion of seven houses total number of houses constructed by JUF at village Esri will become ten.
The land documents and copies of national identity cards of the families to whom houses will be handed over have been supplied by the Project Manager.
